Craftsmanship is another word that is associated with home building.  We think it is one of the most important aspects.  The dictionary defines it as "a man that practices a craft with great skill".  You can always tell the difference between a craftsman, also known as an artisan, and a person who is just putting in his hours.  The artisan is not happy with the results of his project unless is it perfect.  He is going to do everything in his power to make it perfect.  He takes pride in his work.  He takes his time when constructing something.  He will check the fit countless times before gluing or nailing it. 

We strive for craftsmanship to be evident throughout the homes that we build.  This is a difficult task.  It takes a great deal of supervision.  Even though we hire tradesman that are “the best in the business”, the number of these people that take on the artisan type mindset is slim.  Some need encouragement and direction, daily.  We are there to provide it.  Producing a home that encompasses craftsmanship is not an easy task, it takes a lot of work and dedication.  And when the home is complete and craftsmanship is achieved, it is all worth it because we feel like the artisan who is proud of his work.
